Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor made a name for herself in the industry for boldly carrying different kinds of fashion statements. She never shied away from dressing up in the boldest outfits and showing off her prowess. Often taking to her official social media handles to share glimpses of her personal and professional life, she recently hailed Delhi-based fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi for her outfit during her second appearance at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The influence has now reacted to the compliment by the Aisha actress.
Impressed by Nancy’s talent to stitch her own outfits, Sonam took to her official Instagram handle and shared the influencer’s recent reel on her stories. Heaping praises on her talent, the actress asked if she would stitch her an outfit too. She wrote, “Best outfit in Cannes. Make me something.” Elated with the recognition, Nancy, reshared the post on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Thankyou so much, @sonamkapoor It would be amazing to create something special for you one day!” The 38-year-old actress’ sister, filmmaker Rhea Kapoor also commented on the reel. In the video, Tyagi shared a glimpse of how she created her second outfit for the precious event. She captioned the video, “My second outfit from the Cannes Film Festival, which I wore at a special event, is another creation made entirely by me. This ensemble is a saree featuring intricate hand embroidery. For the unversed, Nancy Tyagi started her journey on the busy streets of Sarojini Nagar market. She would often visit the market to gather materials for her clothes designs and film YouTube tutorials on how to make the outfits from scratch. Hailing from the Bhaghpat district in Uttar Pradesh, she moved to Delhi for her UPSC coaching. It was during the pandemic that her passion for fashion grew stronger.
On the work front, Sonam Kapoor made her comeback with the movie Blind. She has yet to announce her next project.
